DEPARTMENT DESCRIPTION

With the Cooperation and supervision of the County Commissioners the Department of Emergency Management is responsible for the development, maintenance and implementation of the Lewis County Emergency Operations Plan.  This department is also responsible for the coordination of response to emergencies/disasters whether natural, manmade, technological or war related.  The department provides emergency preparedness information and training for individuals, families, industry, local government officials and first-responders.
