UI Extension Office

Home

The Lewis County Extension Office is a part of the University of Idaho Extension System.  The office is located at the Lewis County Courthouse in Nezperce, Idaho.  We primarily serve the citizens of Lewis and Idaho counties, but also offer programs in all five counties of North-Central Idaho.  For more information, please visit our District 1 and County Extension Website.

Our major program areas include:  4-H and youth development, agricultural production, farm management, and horticulture.  Specific programs include production training and pesticide recertification classes for farmers and fieldsmen, variety trials and programs.  Master Gardeners are trained and available to help you solve your garden problems.  Farm management courses include financial, marketing, and risk management.  We also have educational opportunities for small acreage landowners and farmers.

Lewis County 4-H

We encourage all youth in Lewis County and areas of Idaho County that lie in Lewis County School Districts to participate in 4-H.  We also hope that all area residents will attend the Lewis County Fair at the end of September.  We have a great fair and the only Combine Demolition Derby in the state!
